I woke up this morning to a pleasant surprise, the author of the Ice King has messaged me personally to say thanks for awarding him 5 stars on Goodreads. He is yet to discover the amazing 5 star award on my blog (but I shall post a link to him).
I liked to see his thanks, people tend to abuse social media and use it to push market, and it is so refreshing to see an author reach out and send a personal message to thank his readers. There was no ‘check out my next book..’ and other blah blah marketing scams.
I should imagine he enjoyed my 5 stars as much as I enjoyed the little note. Thank you Geoff!
